Jaafer Merghani BA (HONS), BSC (HONS), MBEng
Jaafer Merghani is an up and coming designer, architect and inventor. His design philosophy is about the integration in design of ergonomics, simplicity in product use, form and function. His final designs often employ no machinery or tools in its assembly. This allows for cost effectiveness, a reduction in labour and a practicable parts warranty.

Born in April 1974,
Studied Art and Design, specialising in 3D studies (1993)
Graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Architecture (1997)
Completed a second BSC Honours Degree in Building Control Surveying.
Qualified as a Corporate Building Engineer (MBEng) (2003)
Granted a European Patent for the adjustable Bookstand on 1st June 2005.

Jaafer is currently working on several new designs for the booktuck; some of these incorporate a desk reading light and some incorporate simple practical solutions to help readers. He is also developing new patent-able technologies and designs for collapsible structures among other designs.
